The 2005 Season
Football season, we wait for it all summer. This year, we heat things up right away by hosting the Virginia Tech Hookies on Labor Day weekend. Then we wrap up September home games with Eastern Kentucky and Carolina. (Sorry I forgot the camera for the UNC game.) October brings on an ESPN battle versus Clemson on our only home Thursday night game and Southern Mississippi visits Raleigh on Halloween weekend. We skipped the Temple make-up game versus Middle Tennessee State. We ended the regular season with rival Maryland on Thanksgiving weekend. The Wolfpack ended the season 3-5 in the ACC and 6-5 overall, accepting a bowl bid. The Pack will faced off against South Florida (6-5) in the Meineke Car Care Bowl on December 31, 2005 in Charlotte, NC. The Pack went onto win 14-0.
